For the same reason that BMW, Mercedes Benz, Lexus, Acura, Audi, and other brands have been doing it for years! While GM may lack an affordable machine that hauls @ss, performance is alive at GM. However, look what the youth of today drive---Ricers. We'll see more RWD vehicles from GM (2006 Impala and others) and they will carry a large sticker price.

I'm with you though, I'll stick to modin' my truck.
