I ran into this last summer. There was a bunch of parts that said right hand on the box but were made with left hand ends. See if the ne wonle looks like the other side. It took me a couple weeks and a couple tries to get the correct one. All of the low-buck stores in town, and NAPA, had the same problem, it appears that they all have the same hose end supplier and that was where the goof up happened.
