fitting question
i have a question for my fellow board members. i am currently trying to convert my stock steel trans. lines over to braided or rubber pressure line, the original steel lines were 7/16 just like many vehicles of that era. i ordered my fittings and hose ends from jegs the other day but the fittings were to large. i ordered 1/2 pipe to -6 an fittings, but the pipe end was way to large. when i measured the steel lines fitting it appeared to be 1/2 , is pipe measured by the id and not the od? if anyone has made this conversion suggestions would greatly help.
