Show some custom tail lights

I'm not too keen on the squarey Jeep Wrangler/trailer tail lights on this '80 stepside. I'm looking for some ideas to do something different. I've done the cadillac tail lights before, the motorcycle oval tails, the frenched round ones... What have you guys done or seen done on the boxes? I'm taking interest in 65 Mustang lights mounted sideways and (maybe) flush on the backs of the fenders. I'd love to do something off a newer car and use LED lights- aftermarket black ones would be cool since I'm doing a full murdered-out black truck. Whatcha think?
