crazy idea? seems so simple & makes sense...

...but I never heard of anyone doing it and cant figure out why:

exhaust manifold STUDS.. It would make installing my headers sooooooo much easier. Plus you wouldnt have to worry about stripping the threads out in the head...anyone done this? if not, why?

Unless I get a good god @#$% reason not to, Im so doing it while the engine is out..


oh, yeah. thats what Ive been doing today. complete engine teardown to find the gremlins inside.. so far, nothing obvious.. Might have to go all out with this next engine rebuild...
