NV4500 swap in a 76 K10 - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I've got a 76 K10 that currently has a 350 w/ an SM465 and an NP205 10 spline transfer case w/ the 8 bolt pattern. I am wanting to put a NV4500 in place of the SM465 and keep the 205 t-case, and i already know that i need an adapter plate to pair up the nv4500 and the np205, but what im not sure about is if i can use the stock bellhousing from the nv4500 on my 76 350, or if i will have to get the aftermarket bellhousing for the nv4500 to bolt up to 86 and earlier small block chevys? If anybody has any info about this would appreciate the input.
