Hello,

I have a 1982 Chevy 4x4. Just lost the rear end while casually driving on a rural road. Would someone be so kind to tell me how I identify the gear ratio?
I have pulled the rear cap and drained the oil.
My initial plans are to replace the rear end with one from the salvage yard. Some years back I replaced practically all body panels, engine and fresh paint. She's a keeper but current funds do not permit a new 3rd member. Any help will be much appreciated.
