Re: My whole braking system - thinking out loud

Do you have an application for those rotors? It sounds like you setup and drilled the holes on a CNC? How long do you figure it took you to turn the original rotors into hubs? It seems like someone already makes aluminum hubs that will work on the truck spindles. I'll have to find them and see how much they are.

I must have been in a hurry and didnt double check the spacing in the autocad file becuase I drilled the frist patten to 5.25.. lol... these rotors are at minimum anyway, but the second pattern (shoulda been the 1st) was spot on.

and with the rotor turned upside down, you can see how it fits perfectly onto the stock replacment rotor and already has a bevel. For those who will notice the studs dont stick out much.. the stock rotor was not turned into a hub yet so the Dodge rotor was sitting down on the stock rotor surface.. I think the studs will need to be longer anyway

Weather permitting, I will be going to the pick and pull for a spindle nut and washer... Ace hardware didnt have a 3/4x20 nut, or castle nut... plus they want 5 bucks anyway.. then I will be able to snug everything down and start working on the caliper adapter bracket
