The other way would be to get the tank, strip it down, and stuff it up in there and see what happens. It might interfere with the driveshaft, crossmembers, etc. Remember, the 99 and up tanks are on the inside of the frame. My first thought it that no, it won't fit. But without having one to try for myself, I can't be sure.
