I'm getting ready to clean and paint the frame of my 65 chevy and I'm thinking of removing this bracket before I do. The truck has an auto trans but doesn't have a shifter yet. I think this bracket was for the clutch z-bar, but will I need it when I install a new steering column with a shifter for the auto trans? Thanks
