new truck bugs :)
Well, I picked up the 77 Blazer last night...seemed as if I had to wait forever!
I am very pleased with it but noticed one thing on the way home. I decided to see if it had any oompth so I got on it pretty hard from a standing stop...it accelerated fine but right before the 2-3 shift it sputtered and felt like it wanted to stall. I immediately got off the throttle and it did not stall, but it shouldn't be doing this. I am going to be changing the cap and rotor and check the plugs but i am not sure if this will be the solution. What do you guys and gals think it is? Also, it doesn't smell like it is running rich, but when you de-accelerate from above 40-50 MPH or so (or downshift manually) it "crackles" thru the exhaust...sounds cool don't get me wrong, but could the carb be out of tune or running ruch and expelling the excess that way? ...Jeff |
