billet interior parts

i scored the whole billet kit for my truck, door panels are done.
Now working on the dash. I removed the dash last nite and i broke that center plastic piece that is inserted on the dash. It broke right where the vents go.
Does the billet piece go on top of that? that billet panel didn't come with instructions. whats the best way of installing it?
My truck has factory air, how do the vents work out?
