Static lowering questions? First time, Help

I want to "level" this truck but not sure what parts are required to do it right.
Right now, I'm thinking of just dropping the rear a few inches then later do 2.5 drop spindles and level the rear. So, do I need to buy a flip kit? is that going to make it lower in the rear? is there some sort of shackles that will take it down a few inches in the rear? I have some 18" wheels but not sure what tires to use yet? Not super low profile, I'm thinking 255 55 18 up front and 255 60 18 in the back. Any suggestions or pictures of your square body with 18" rims? thanks,
