Oil pan is rotted and leaking...Help

Hi Guys...New to the site and love all the info on here. Need some newbie type help. I have an 85 3/4 ton 4x4 that I just purchased as a project. First fix was the trans....all good now. Next fix is the severe oil leak that the trans guy told me is due to a rotted oil pan. Can I replace the oil pan without having to pull/raise the engine? It looks doable, but I don't want to attempt without checking....Also, any tips for getting a good gasket placement/seal would be very appreciated. Thanks very much
