I need help chaps

I have bought a set of door rubbers for my 54..they are the ones that run in the track around the door on the inside of the cab.....now tell me if i'm missing something here, but I'm having a hell of a job trying to thread them round the track...i've lubed them up with soapy water..no goood, then i've tried spray oil....still no good

someone please say....you don't want to do it like that, do it like this, it's really easy....purleese!!
