Where does the LS engine get it's efficiency from as compared to gen1, gen 2 smallblocks? They get about 20-21 in a fullsize truck which is pretty good. You can put, as did the factory, EFI and distributorless ignition on a gen 1 smallblock and it still does not match the LS, so i don't think the bulk of the efficiency is coming from there?
