Question en-gauge-ing question

Before making replies, please note that I will be building my truck using as many GM parts as possible so try to refrain from saying I should go with Dakota Digital, other aftermarket gauges or installing a later model dash. Thanks.

I am wanting to do factory gauges in my next C10 with a tach but I got to thinking about a more updated look.

Can anyone steer me to someone that can make a plastic overlay? Something like a newer truck uses but can fit in place of the metal faces on our gauges.

I think backlit gauges would give them the look I am going for and in theory it should be able to be done for a relatively low cost, I just need to figure out where to start.

Thanks!
