2004R Tranny Conversion Question

Hey guys, I'm going to do the 2004R conversion for my turbo 350. For those of you that have done it, what kind of modifications were done to the crossmember? I know they are virtually the same length so no need to modify the drive shaft, but is there a need to buy a new crossmember or just modify the current one? Thanks for the help guys, just trying to get all my homework done before I dive into this. The whole setup is going behind a 350 crate motor in my 66.
