quick question about rear shock spacer - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Howdy folks,

Been a while since I actually took my 69 2wd c10 coil rear truck apart and I'm putting the rear suspension back in. The new shocks came with a 3/4 to 1 inch wide spacer and it doesn't look like I need it but I can't remember if there was a spacer on it from the factory. Is it included because the shock is also used on a different application or is it supplied as a problem solver etc? Thanks for any insight!
