72 blazer 4x4 350 oil pan removal ?

Has anyone cut the bottom out of the moter mount cradle to ease removal of the oil pan.My rear pan seal is leaking and it appears that this would be an easy option by cutting it just below the lower frame mount bolts and then fabbing it so it can be bolted back on, for easy removal if there is a next time.If you have done this please post pics,Or mabe it's a bad idea.
