Dickies EMT pants:

i've had my Dickies EMT pants for about a yr and a half. They're getting ready to be replaced so i thought it would be a good time for a review. And no, i'm not an EMT--i got them because i thought they would be high quality:

Overall good quality. i wore them almost everyday to work and washed them maybe once/twice a week. i do mostly sitting at work, with some occasional standing and other tasks. i also did alot of yard work, car repair etc. with them.

There is a large hole in the crotch area about the size of 2 half dollars, not normally visible under most situations---you would have to take the pants off and actually inspect that area to see it. i have, however, started to ride my bike to work frequently. This is a 24 mile round trip and this may have exacerbated the problem---maybe.

Also, the cuffs have become frayed. But this is probably mostly due to my innatentiveness in that area---i let them drag on the floor sometimes.

Other than that, no real complaints except i wish they would put more belt loops closer to the front of the pants(the button area). This would help keep the pants up in that area.
Also, too many pockets (and these pants have plenty) might not be a good thing in my opinion---the snap loops have gotten caught on things so many times.

i want even higher quality so:
a) i am now thinking of trying Blaklader pants; They're from Sweden so they must be good (?)

b) Can you suggest any others?
