Best paint for frame?
I'm wanting to get my body painted soon. Before I spend $1000-$1500 on a paint job I figure it would be a good idea to clean up and paint the rusty colored frame.
I don't want the frame to be show quality and I don't want to spend a ton on the paint for the frame. Any suggestions what would be the best (Por15, Rustoleum, rattle can)? I used some rustoleum or somthing from a rattle can on my rear end it seems to be holding up very well so far, all I did to prep it was use a wire brush and then hose it off and let it dry. I'm thinking maybe I'd get a gallon of rustoleum grey colored and apply it with a brush or pad since I don't have a spray gun. I'd probably also prep it the same way I did with the rear end. I think since the frame is so rough it wouldn't show the brush lines in the paint. I also would like to be able to buy the paint I choose locally. I live in a small town and the only parts store is NAPA.
