Review for the $29.99 Tractor Supply tire jack/stand

I originally bought this truck without a tire jack. Needless to say one of the first things I did get for it was an 8-ton basic hydraulic jack on sale at the local HF. Never had to use it but, you know, it's one of those items if you need it and don't have it...the day just got very long at that moment. Plus I have been with a flat tire in my lifetime without a way to change it...a memory I have no desire to repeat.

Anyway, as I posted in the other thread on jack stands, this one I saw available at Tractor Supply for, essentially $30, looked interesting. Here a hydraulic jack & stand is all in one unit. http://www.tractorsupply.com/vehicle...-stand-1160455

So I called the store this morning and they had them in stock. For the money and the stout build they are, this is the best and safest tire jack I can have for the C-30 in my opinion. Sure beats lugging a floor jack around or the hydraulic jack along with a jack stand when one of these serves as both in one package.

I will say the 2-piece handle is functional but cheap/crap unless welded or bolted together to make it one piece(my opinion only). That is my only complaint. But I had a couple of heavier one piece ones laying around that will work.

So if anyone is in the market, as I was, for a tire jack to do more than just changing a tire or just wanting to lift and secure anything, without a floor jack, that includes a jack and a ratchet jack stand, with a greater margin of safety involved ...this looks like it will do the job.

I did measure it extended and it does actually reach 21.5". Nearly as tall as the 6-ton jacks and taller than the HF 3-tons.

Just a tool review for what it's worth.
