torque management?

Remove it or not? I have googled this and come away 50/50 for each side of the coin. It seems like asking "which brand of oil?" Since my 01 5.3 is nearly stock and now in a truck that weighs 1/2 the suburban it came out of I would think I already abuse the tranny less than stock. Plus, this thing will only get driven maybe 1000 miles a year and not full throttle the whole way so how bad can it hurt? I don't want to destroy the trans but it seems a waste to build a street rod pickup to let the ecm retard timing every time you get on it. Does anyone here have experience with this? Thanks for any input.
