72 Blazer build

So i have moved along in my blazer build. I bought this last May and ripped out the interior and the wiring harness as they both were junk. I started putting in a new wiring harness from LMC Trucks, which wasn't as "plug and play or painless" as described. I got caught up in a few spots and decided to pull the body off and start from the frame up. Here is the project as it stands now. I am planning on putting in an LS2 engine and newer tranny, but i don't know the details on swaps, mounts, and how easy it is to change transfer cases, or if i can just use the old one. Any help would be nice. Also any ideas on what to seal the frame with? I was thinking of powder coating, but it seems expensive and unnecessary.
