Task Force Interior Cab Corner Fill Template

A member ask for a copy of the template I made so I figured I may as well just post it in a thread. Attached are two files one 11x17 and a second that is (2) letter size with registration marks.

My notes are not to legible but the only clarification is at the part behind the door jamb the plate needs to be bent up over the brace. It's obvious when you look at it. This template is for the drivers side, it flips for the other side. I found that my two sides were slightly different and your truck may be too. Critical to me was to get the outside tight to the metal so go a little large and trim to fit. The inside over laps the floor by about an inch for the plug welds.

I used 16 gauge metal, cut with a jig saw and fine tuned with a die grinder. On the corner side I spot welded it to the body, on the cab side I drilled holes and plug welded it to the floor. I then put a generioius bead of 3M Body Sealant around all the edges to seal it. I would not recommend a full weld at the exterior body line, you will warp the metal and push it out which will cause problems.

Here is a photo of it installed too.
