OK...I'll try and stick to the subject this time.
Had this truck about a year and immediately replaced the starter after I got it. I thought it made too much noise. The "new" starter from AutoZone was just as noisy. By noisy I don't mean grinding...its just louder than I thought it should be. On the heat issue...The exhaust pipe passes within about 1.5 inches of the starter now that I have "adjusted" it, since I put in new brake lines. I thought that having the exhaust in contact with my new brake line would probably be a bad idea.(Duh!) I'll see if I start having starting problems. Jim Mt Juliet |
