She aint pretty but shes all mine!
I am new to the forum and several folks have mentioned that ya'll love pictures. Well here are a few of my present Rat Rod/Resto Rod Project. Hopefully this will be the "before" pics for future reference.
I first purchased the 67 pictured in the last few shots for this project but once I got it home I decided it was to nice and deserved a full on build so the 65 was purchased to use up a 350/350 combo out of my convertible project that was sitting in the corner. We have installed a 85 C-10 crossmember with 2" dropped spindles and 1" springs. We will pull the rear axles and have the center turned down on them and redrilled to 5 lug to complete the 5 lug conversion. Plans call for a flat black finish with orange or turquois steel wheels. relocated fuel tank, buisness name and phone number in distressed lettering on the doors and 4" black cab high stacks in the bed (I know the stacks are kinda hokey but what else can a muffler man do to get noticed?) all done without spending over 500.00 out of pocket. Yep I got a boatload of bartering parts so I think its possible.
