steering

well for some history i am building a 67 with a cummins diesel, 2?" drop spindles and 2-3" coils? they were in it when i bought it... but anyways... as it sits now my stock steering isnt going to cut it. the inner tierod will hit with any little bump.... i have been looking at mustang/t bird R&P and dakota ones too.

i have searched and searched but havnt been able to find much info, is there a way to make my stock parts work or should i go with a rack and pinion. also does the mustang R&P has a shorter stroke? just need some advice thanks.

PS. it wil be on bags once i get it running and what not, so it will go lower. but where it sits is where i want my ride height.
