383/700r4 anyone Running IT?

blew up the 700r4 last night.
Buddy has a beefed up corvette 700 he had in another truck, I'm getting it super cheap and he's helping me get it in this weekend.

The 350 I have is in decent shape. But at this point, I've pretty well gotten comfortable with the fact that I am going to have to replace EVERYTHING on this truck. So naturally, I am looking at engines.

There's a guy in a town down the road that I've met thats got a built 383 in his 82 Silverado he's selling. ($750 asking)

My question is, 383 wont have any problems swapping straight into where the 350 was right? Anyone running a 383/700 combo? Any issues? I'd rather not have to have the engine/transmission out more than once.

As usual- thanks for the help guys. hope everyone had a great valentines day.
