89 Crew Cab, Bags, Bodydrop and 24" Billets

Hola!

A little background:

long time square body owner, I have had three ludicrously low Suburbans, all 90-91 and was looking for another when I found this beauty on Craigslist DFW one night this summer. I emailed the guy and made arrangementts to check the truck out...@ 1am in a parking lot in Springtown, TX! Turn's out he was a forum member! I placed a deposit and picked it up equally as late the following night and cruised her 30 miles home.

I purchased her with Centerline 20's and exactly as listed in the ad, over the next few months I drove her here and there when I had time after work and did some little maint. stuff. Come December I ordered a set of 24" Intro Flagstaff wheels(24x9 front and 24x12 rear) and dropped her off at my good friend and off season employer Nfamus Air Suspension. We would most certainly be alot further along than we are however due to multiple snafu's with getting the wheels we are still underway on the build. I have some parts scheduled to deliver this week and we should be going at her hard and heavy again.

The build is rather simple versus some of the ideas I originally had. We have performed a stock floor body drop and the suspension will comprise of Air Lift Dominators at the corners, GC valves, Viair compressors and and Nfamus made notch and 4 link with Bag on Bar. All the suspension will be simple and functional and under the bed floor which is not typical for Nfamus builds but was what I wanted.

According to the title the truck was originally a 3/4 ton flat bed but of course is now 1/2 ton short bed. Work truck interior would have been original however the original owner swapped to Suburban front clip and doors which will stay. I acquired a used up burban for some additional interior trim parts and am looking for a final couple of parts to complete a Silverado level trimmed interior. Of course some seat changes will be made for comfort and everything will be covered or dyed to match. In the next post I will attach some photos of it as I got it and progress thus far. If you have any questions feel free to ask and you can add me of Facebook or Like Nfamus Air Suspension to see updates as well. Thanks for reading the novel!

AHHH! Also, the project is called Cold Hearted Woman, not only a great song by Cross Canadian Ragweed but also much like a Cold Hearted Woamn a project like this is likely to leave a man penniless, miserable and out in the rain and cold.
