Yay I can hang out over here now too!
Since my truck has turned into this never ending project, I wanted another classic to cruise around in. I've always loved suburbans, and this one had been for sale for a while, so I figured I'd go check it out. Next thing I knew, it was in my driveway. I briefly owned one a while back, but the HOA didn't like it. So this time, I paid a little more and got a running and driving one!
It's been in AZ it's whole life. The protect-o-plate says it was bought at Rudolf Chevrolet. It's got front/rear air, front/rear sway bars, a decent stereo and the engine/tranny were rebuilt about 30k/20k miles ago respectively. The front seats are out of something else obviously, but the DS seat is power which is a plus. It's got some rust, but it's not near as bad as my '67 pickup. Plans are to put some new wheels on it (maybe the Boss 338's), maybe give it a 4/6 drop and put some miles on it! This thing also has an auxiliary gas tank that the previous owner took out, but gave to me in the sale. Was that a dealer installed option? It's only my second day of owning it, and two people have already asked me what it was and if I welded the 4th door shut....... ![]()
