72 c10 w/ 4 drums swap to disc

ok so this truck has been in the family since it was new and for some reason my uncle had drums swapped on the truck and did 6lug rear end. now my question is he dont know what was done exactly to do this since he paid someone else to do it like 20yrs ago. the truck is mine now w/ air bags on it and im wanting it to go lower in the front. so does anyone know if all he had to do was swap the spindles and master cylinder over or was this a whole front end suspension conversion to get this to work? im wanting a 5lug pattern and disc so i can drop it farther and have more of a rim selection to pick from but i have no idea what to look for since i mainly do newer s10s and just starting learning bout those really
forgot to add that this truck is a 4 coil spring truck
thanks
