I6 PS Upgrade....plus

Ok, so here I go! I'm gonna do what others have done and put myself "out there" with a small upgrade build. Granted its just components, but I figure this is easy first step. This may even help to enhance the importance of getting everything possible when it is available to you. I'll start with a few pics.

This is the pump and brackets from a 79 Nova.....dirty.Name: 023.jpg

I grabbed ALL of the pulleys, along with the harmonic balancer, and the cam gear cover. I grabbed the cover because the timing tab is on the RH side of the crank. So since the HB matches the cover...I got them.

Now I havent exactly finished painting the parts (primered ones are green aren't they...I'm color blind) but they are clean and ready to go. The pump is next for cleaning and inspection with the steering gear after that. If the pump won't work....I'll get a new one (I have a core atleast). The steering gear is gonna get a good cleaning and disassembly for rebuild. The gear came off of a 72 GMC....this should work, right?
Now for the lesson I learned. In two months that these vehicles were sitting in the yard, I had the chance to get several coveted parts from these two. One was I6 auto linkage (still kickin' myself...to easy) and the other was rust free RH front fender (I have a 68 c10). Ya it takes money and I did get a lot but I felt I could have got MORE. Just be aware others are lookin' for these same parts! Oh ya, the plus...HEI (from the Nova) intake/exhaust from a 67
292 from November. So there it is....My first upgrade!
