sorry this is a few months late.. there should be a # in front of the letter, check out the pic in post # 3 there is a 5 (1965) and then a j (janesville) about an inch back from it, then the serial #

the # might have been lightly stamped on the 4X4 , if there is a way , try and check the vin under the drivers seat (on the framerail)
