A little info please.

Hi all, .

This isn't really about my 68. I have an even more pressing issue with my 2002 sonoma 4x4 . I am getting ready to rebuild the front end in this thing so as to not be killed on the freeway from a freed ball joint . My question is this. How do you get the pitman arm off of the steering box given that it is mounted 1/2" from the top of the front cross member? If any of y,all have ever done one of these , I could really use the input. I looked at a book at the local library, but it was no help. All it had in it was the 2 wheel drive numbers. The rest of the front end is a breeze. Thanks for any help I am given with this one.
