intake manifold?

Guys and gals? I am having trouble finding a carburator to fit on my late 70's sbc 350. I bought the engine/trans rebuilt just needs finishing on the outside parts. the intake manifold is a edlebrock performance rpm. I bought a useable carter 650 that supposely would fit but didnt and I could get my money back the guy said. Next I got a free rochester carb from a friend and also a 4 barrel and with adapter that i tried with and without on both carbs. Nothing lines up. I do not want to spend hundreds on a carb. So I most likely need another manifold? so I do not spend $300 on a carb.
I could not take picture of other setup because I have limited camera use. and leave comments. Ima poor boy and giving my all to build my truck. Its what make life better in a sick way haha.here is some with the carter 650 carb.
