Questions on th400/205 vs th350/205

I bought a used th400/np205 setup here a few weeks ago. It is the fixed output version, the seller said he pulled it from a 80's SWR K30.

I am wanting to put this in my 71 K10. It currently has the original th350/205 combo.

I have a community college that I attended about 5 years ago that is willing to rebuild the trans, and install it. I want to make sure this will pretty much be a bolt in deal. I'd hate to throw a confusing project at these kids trying to learn how to rebuild tranny's for the first time. I'm mostly concerned with the drive shaft length, and overall length of the whole setup being the same. I plan to wire the truck for the kick-down solenoid, and get that setup on the carb before I take it into them. I don't want to let them find out the hard way, and them potentially run out of time to get it done.

Anyone know off the top of their head if this is a bolt on type project?
