problems with my single wire alternator conversion.

Hey guys I have a 65 c10 swb fleet side w a 350/350 tranny. I had read about the single wire conversion for the truck. I got a 85 trans am alternator (i think a 95 amp?) and installed it per the directions. Now the problem I have is the tail lights and turn signals are not working like before, the aftermarket fuel pump (did the tank to rear bed conversion) is now putting out 9-10 lbs of fuel (used to do 5) and when I take the key out it will still run for awhile (30- 50 seconds) I think until the fuel pressure dies down.

Is it maybe the relay on the grill that it is plugged into? Is it just cranking out way to much power for the truck?

The PO had put in a painless wiring system, but only hooked up the essentials and I went through the whole truck re hooked up everything, redid all the grounds, and all the lights were working and the fuel pump and all worked well.

I also dont think the battery is getting charged because it is always dead. I checked the amps going to the battery it is 14

any advice would be great.
