exhaust question

So i have true duals with no X or H pipe on my truck.

On the way home last night one side snapped off in the middle right infront of the rear axle.

So im running straight pipe no muffler on one side at the moment.

Should i cut the other side at the same spot so that the back pressure is the same for both heads or can i drive it ok with half having a muffler and half being straight pipes?

I intend to upgrade to larger piping and headers in a few months anyways so want to leave it how it is if i can.

Its a carbed 350.
