Dropmember rear trailing arm clearance
hey everyone,
Just need some imput. I am putting 24" wheels on the back of my 70c10 and have Porterbuilt's trailing arm kit. Ive narrowed the axle 2" per side and have replaced with 2" narrower axles from Moser......my question is will a 24x12 with a 4" backspace clear? I think it will being that the kit is designed to clear up to 10" as is, being that I have removed 2" of the axle each side should allow me to add 2" of backspace the wheels.....so instead of the common 10" wide wheels with a 4" backspace I want to do a 12" wide wheel with a 4" back space. I dont want to do the Inboard set up for the super wide 14" plus bridge that Porterbuilt make but want to max out the full potential of the rear. I can narrow the rear more if needed but from what I figure that should not be needed.....I need to let the wheel manufacture know so they can get to building. The front also should be a 22x8.5 with a 5" backspace or 5.5? Thanks for the expertise in advance. Mike |
