Front air bags (d2600) fitting problems. Please Help.

So here is my deal I open to options and opinions. I have the bolt in top plate and lower cups (2.125" tall) in my 1967 C10 from thorbecke bros. (formerly suicide doors), and running D2600 bags by Air Lift. I am looking to have a final ride height of between 1-2" below stock ride height. The photos show the max (highest) height I am able to get these bags to raise up as the upper control arm hits the crossmember (bag height ~5") , which still puts them about 1" below the designed ride height of the bag ( this is with the bumpstops shaved). I still need to have more suspension travel than just 2.2". I am not able to cut the cup anymore as I only have 3/16" clearance between the bag and the lower control arm on the inside edge. I even tried unbolting the top plate and running a cup up top but that only gives me an additional .25" of travel.... still not enough. What is a guy to do here. I dont have the $ for tubular control arms. Would purchasing a different bag like slam specialties ss5 or ss6 do the trick to fit down in the cup? or is that not going to be enough bag to handle the weight.... I also dont want to kill the ride... I would like it to still be smoother than the coil springs.
