Changing Tranny fluid and Replacing seals?

Alright, so I have an '86 c10 that got a new tranny last May before I bought it (got the receipt from previous owner so I know it actually did) and I've put probably around 30k miles on it and its now starting to shift higher and higher in the RPMs and a bit rougher. I was figuring the easiest and best fix would be to drop the pan and change out the fluid and some seals. Is there anything else I should check for or look at replacing while I am in there or any tips I should know about? AT's are currently outside of my realm of knowledge!
