Trailing arms cross member fliped?

Hello, I saw a post on a trailing arm center section fliped.. thoughts on this for drag racing and still driving it on the street?

Also, I was looking at this for adjustability.. Is this a good idea? At a minimum I guess I could route my new exhaust through it.
