puzzled on the front suspension

guys,since buying my 69 i have read and reread all the threads concerning drop spindles.as well as looking up pics from vendors on the site.
what i am noticing is that the pics that contain both sides ,the spindle is at different hieghts,i assume this is the way it goes on the truck.I was told by some guys on the site that my spindles should be more to the top of the arm if they are indeed drop spindles but mine seem lower on both sides. now also from what i have read drop spindles are to have disc brake conversion which mine has and the lower tube A arm.
Is there a measurment on the spindle i can make to check if they are stock or drop spindles ?
I dont want to order a set and find out i alredy have them on specially since i have to import them to australia.
