Look what followed me home today...
1981 Silverado- no motor or trans, 4 rallies and the PO threw in a tach cluster with perfect ears on it for free. Air/tilt/cruise and with just a quick look at the wiring I think this truck had the tach from the factory. There is a white condenser on the firewall with a spade connector that I'm assuming goes to the tach plug on the HEI. Has the usual rust. Cab floor appears okay but needs rockers and cab corners, inner fenders and fleet sides. The bed floor looks clean - no big dents or rust. Plans are to use the frame under this truck- I bought a 6L80E from an insurance company on Friday, so now I'm searching for a motor.
