Replacing Floor Covering?

At some point in the future I will be needing to replace my high hump rubber floor covering in my '71 4x4. Due to the fact I am converting my stickshift
4x4 to auto 4x4. About 7 or 8 years ago I purchased a replacement high hump rubber mat which was an identical look alike for my old torn up original. Course I don't recall the mfg. on the box and the local business I bought it from is gone now. Since I will no longer have the stick on the floor need to replace the mat. Have read a few posts about members not being satisfied with the replacements recently purchased, as in not lasting and cracking in various areas after short term of use.

Any thoughts or experience with going rubber again with the new replacement mats? Bear in mind I need a high hump due to truck being a 4x4.
Have even given consideration to perhaps carpet this time, just not sure about that.
