1961 C-10 Front Grill Question

Hi everyone.

I have a '61 C-10 front grill that needs the aluminum center section straightened a bit.

For a stock grill; should the aluminum center section follow the contour of the steel main grill (the middle of the aluminum section pulled slightly forward)? Or should the aluminum section be flat?

Pictures on the internet show beat-up grills, or show restored grills that may or may not be correct.
