Anyone have LS motor and Mustang II front end?

I just got the motor running tonight and the rack shook violently and appears to have blown the seals. From what I've learned, GM pumps are too strong for Ford racks. Fluid is all over the garage floor and the reservoir is dry. Steering was neutral and shouldn't be under any pressure so why would the rack blow?

Did this occur with anyone else? How did you solve?

Good news: motor runs real good.
