My new 42' dump
Well I was eyeballing this beauty for a few months now, my trailer finally sold, so of i went to pick her up. I was amazed at how small the rust was for a 70 yr old truck. As soon as i got home, I started tinkering with the lights, only had to change one taillight bulb. Everything works electric wise, the vacuum wipers even work, every gauge but fuel [not wired] works also. That will be first on the list, getting the fuel tank cleaned and plumbed. I also need a front seat, I have the original frame but it is to far gone IMO. PO also gave me a new cover and padding. It was also upgraded to 12 volt. Needs brakes, unscrewed MS cap and was empty and rusty. It's powered by the 261 which runs very well. The dump works flawlessly, even at idle she smoothly tilts. For now I will leave as is cause I like the patina. I am very impressed with this 1.5 ton truck. More pics to come, these were e-mailed from PO.
